Volvo emblem missing its blue bit

Volvo emblem missing its blue bit

If you are the proud owner of a Volvo V70, V60, V40, XC70, XC90 or any other car in the range, you may have noticed that the Volvo emblem / badge / sticker or whatever you choose to call it, is either peeling or missing. Instead of the vivid blue rectangle with silver lettering, you now just have a silver rectangle with raised letters.

Very annoying, as it is a prominent feature and when they go missing, your car will look tatty. Before you rush out and either pay to have yours replaced, or order one from eBay and replace it yourself, you might like to know that Volvo have authorised their dealers to supply and fit a replacement Volvo emblem / badge / sticker free of charge.

The offer does expire at the end of 2015…so you do have time to get yours done, and they will often do it while you wait…if you book ahead.

My dealer, Lloyd Volvo of Carlisle, told me they’d had around 50 come off in the last two months…and they confirmed the free of charge replacement.  It takes around 30 minutes to do I’m told.

So…some useful information…I hope 😉
